Annual Meeting Call for Content
The 2009 Annual Meeting Call for Content is the Association's method of collecting program proposals, as well as identifying critical issues and presenters for the Annual Meeting in Jacksonville. Through the Call for Content, you can:

• Recommend professionals, volunteers, or experts who you would like to present educational programs
• Identify critical issues, operational topics, or skills training opportunities you would like either presented in an educational program or included in the Developmental Resource Center (DRC)
The Association needs YOUR involvement to ensure the most dynamic educational programs and experiences are available at the 2009 Annual Meeting.
Complete the Call for Content by Friday, May 8th.
Liaison Highlight National APIA Panhellenic Association
Riding on a wave of energy and encouragement from the 2008 AFA Annual Meeting, the National APIA Panhellenic Association (NAPA) has opened the new year with optimism and ambition. Only three months into 2009, NAPA member organizations have not only been engaging in dialogue to develop the umbrella organization but also have been taking action to ensure that historically Asian American and Pacific Islander Greek-lettered organizations "reach their peak performance" and secure a spot in the fraternal movement. On February 8, 2009 NAPA passed two resolutions: 1) Statement of Position on Hazing and Pre-Initiation Activities and 2) Statement of Position on Campus Recognition. >> Read more about NAPA's resolutions

Working with Men: Addressing Issues of Masculinity within the Fraternity Context March 18 | 2:00 - 3:30 p.m. Eastern Time
The term "fraternity men" is, in and of itself, a loaded connotation, carrying with it a wide array of emotions and memories. Whether these are positive or negative in nature, the fact remains that the lens by which our fraternity men view the world, along with how they act in accordance with such views, requires careful consideration by us as professionals working with them. During this Virtual Seminar, participants will learn about male gender role socialization and its implications for fraternities and fraternity men. Participants will also learn effective strategies for working with fraternity men and will begin to learn ways to proactively address some of the concerns that threaten the existence of fraternities on an inter/national level.
For more information and to register, please visit the AFA website.
