MEMBERSHIP OPTIONS


Membership Categories- Select Category that Best Describes You.

  Professional members shall be those persons holding full-time professional, administrative positions either (1) at a college/university or (2) at an inter/national fraternity or sorority. Persons employed by a post-secondary institution in positions classified as graduate assistantships, whether part-time or full-time, shall not be eligible for Professional membership.

  Graduate Student members shall be those persons who are enrolled as part-time or full-time graduate students (masters or doctoral) in fields of study related to fraternity advising and/or Higher Education (as verified by the academic advisor for said Graduate program), but who are not employed in any full-time, professional position. Please provide the name and phone number of your academic advisor:

  Affiliate members shall be all other persons who are actively concerned with enhancement of the advisement of men's or women's fraternities who are not employed in full-time administrative positions by a college/university or inter/national fraternity or sorority, including volunteer advisors and officers on the campus, regional or national level, faculty members, and other interested parties.

  Retired members shall be those persons who have been Professional members of the Association who have retired and left the field but still are actively interested in men's or women's fraternities. Retired members shall pay annual dues commensurate with dues paid by Graduate Student members and shall receive all benefits of the Association, except they shall neither possess the right to vote nor hold office. Retired members are eligible to serve on committees.

  Individuals may be recommended to the Executive Board for Honorary membership in the Association. Honorary members shall be individuals who support the policies, purposes, and activities of the Association and who merit extraordinary recognition by the Association. Honorary members shall be subject to the approval of the Executive Board. They shall receive Perspectives, have access to all Association publications, and have the opportunity to attend the annual conference. Honorary members shall neither possess the right to vote nor hold office. They are not eligible to serve on committees.

Associate - $195
Associate membership is a special category of AFA membership available to businesses and organizations wishing to broaden their markets or work cooperatively with the fraternal community. Associate Members represent the supplier/service provider community within AFA. Please use the printable membership application to Join or Renew as an Associate Member.
