Buzz Without Bucks
In student affairs, we like to refer to the Spring as "conference season." Between ASJA, ACUI, NASPA, ACPA and all of the regional student conferences, just to name a few, it's likely that you've already been to a conference this semester and that you'll be going to at least one more in the coming months. You will be connecting with old friends, meeting new colleagues and building collaborative relationships. As an AFA volunteer, we hope that you are excited about your membership experience and will promote the Association to others. We need you to be ambassadors to both potential AFA members and to current members who aren't aware of all our services and resources. A recent article in Fast Company magazine, Buzz Without Bucks, makes it clear that loyal members who are willing to talk about their positive experiences are our most valuable asset.
