2007 Outstanding Volunteer Awards So many AFA volunteers have contributed greatly to the Association this year and deserve to be recognized for their accomplishments. We need your help in identifying individuals who went above and beyond in their service to the Association.
Up to eight volunteers will be recognized for their outstanding performance during 2007 at the Annual Meeting Recognition Luncheon. Any current volunteer can nominate other volunteers who served the Association in 2007. Volunteers at all levels of service (other than the Executive Board) are eligible for recognition. Past Outstanding Volunteer Award recipients and volunteers who have been recognized as Volunteer of the Month are listed on the AFA website.
Go here for more information about eligibility and criteria. Please submit your letters of nomination by September 21, 2007.

How to Submit a GREAT Involvement Form… Read This Before You Fill Out Your 2008 Volunteer Involvement Form!
The 2008 Involvement Form is now available. Appointments for standing committees or positions for 2008 will be made in mid-September. To be considered for a standing appointment, please submit the online form by September 7, 2007 . The involvement form includes detailed position descriptions outlining the roles and responsibilities of all appointed positions. Please take a moment to review those before you indicate which positions you are interested in. We hope that you will continue to invest your time and talent in AFA.
We really do use this information to match members with meaningful volunteer roles! We have many people filling out forms for our 200+ volunteer roles. Your involvement form is the only indicator we have of your interests and skills. We depend on you providing us good information so that we can match you to a great volunteer role that will be both interesting and rewarding for you.
But you would be surprised… often the responses to the questions are vague and general – leaving us with not much to go on as we attempt to find the best volunteer fit for you.
Go here for tips on submitting a helpful Volunteer Involvement Form.
